If you’re wandering through Bed-Stuy and craving a spot that feels like home, For All Things Good Bed-Stuy at 343 Franklin Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11238, United States is a place that instantly wins you over. From the moment you step in, there’s this warm, inviting vibe that makes it clear the focus here is on genuine comfort and quality. I’ve visited this spot multiple times over the past year, and each experience has reinforced why locals and newcomers alike rave about it.

Walking in, the first thing that strikes you is the balance between casual charm and thoughtful design. The wooden tables and soft lighting create a cozy environment, while subtle local artwork gives it a distinctly Brooklyn flavor. It’s the kind of place where you can sit down for a quiet brunch or catch up with friends over a long lunch without feeling rushed. On one visit, I noticed a small group working on laptops while others enjoyed hearty meals-it’s rare to find a spot that accommodates both.

The menu here is diverse without feeling overwhelming. From perfectly seasoned grilled chicken sandwiches to rich, flavorful vegetarian bowls, each dish reflects careful preparation and attention to detail. One dish that particularly stands out is their shrimp and grits-creamy, savory, and perfectly balanced with a hint of spice. I’ve also tried their breakfast pancakes stacked high, drizzled with maple syrup that isn’t overly sweet, and paired with fresh berries. The consistency of quality is impressive, and every dish arrives thoughtfully plated, showing that presentation matters as much as taste.

Reviews often highlight the staff’s attentiveness, and it’s true. On a busy Saturday, our server made the effort to explain specials and even recommended wine pairings with the dinner menu. This level of care contributes to a feeling of trustworthiness-you know you’re in capable hands, and the experience is genuine rather than perfunctory. Industry experts note that a combination of ambiance, service, and menu quality is crucial for repeat visits, and For All Things Good clearly nails all three.

The location on Franklin Ave is perfect for exploring Bed-Stuy. It’s a neighborhood that has seen a lot of growth while retaining its unique character, and this restaurant mirrors that vibe. Whether you’re a local or visiting Brooklyn for the first time, the ease of access and welcoming atmosphere make it a reliable choice. During one afternoon visit, I observed a family celebrating a birthday, a couple enjoying coffee, and solo diners on their laptops-it’s clear that the space works for all kinds of patrons.

What impresses me most is the consistency. Even during peak hours, dishes arrive promptly, and the quality doesn’t drop. This isn’t accidental; it reflects a well-managed kitchen and experienced chefs who understand the importance of maintaining standards. According to recent dining surveys, restaurants that emphasize consistency in both taste and service see significantly higher customer retention, and this spot exemplifies that trend.

If you appreciate attention to detail, quality ingredients, and a menu that caters to a wide range of tastes, For All Things Good Bed-Stuy is a standout in Brooklyn’s vibrant dining scene. The combination of flavorful dishes, welcoming staff, and a lively yet relaxed atmosphere makes it a destination worth repeating. From savory lunches to indulgent desserts, each visit feels like discovering a small gem tucked into the heart of Bed-Stuy.

  • Such interesting and yummy stuff. Plus the warm vegan horchata is so good! UPDATE July 2022: The food here is still so good. Clean and tasty with fantastic vegetarian options. Some of the best in the neighborhood. Update 2025-02-18: Still so damn good. Me and my daughter just ate there again for the second time this week because she woke up with an understandable craving for it.

  • Cute corner little restaurant, with the freshness of the tortillas as a standout. This is tasty, quality food, but I would like some more seasoning. Mezcal frozen drinks a great alcoholic treat. Overall a good experience.

  • Delicious everything in a snug little corner spot in bed-stuy. Having lived in both DF & Oaxaca, I’m a big fan of the cuisine. Cozy interiors and well portioned little meals, I’m looking forward to coming back and trying the tlayuda next time.

  • TL:DR - a solid lunch spot. I got the horchata coffee - it was really good, though incredibly heavy. We shared some small plates, as well as the tlayuda, a dish I would definitely recommend trying. The egg on top was perfectly runny, and everything was the right amount of heat - spicy but not too much heat for breakfast. The tetelas were a bit dry; we all had one bite and no one went back for more - though that being said no one left hungry. Dine in available but really only comfy for parties of 2.

  • This is hands down my favorite neighborhood spot. Everything I’ve tried has been consistently delicious, but their tortillas truly stand out. The birria & consomé tacos are my top pick, though the mushroom tacos and flautas encabronadas are also a must-try. Pair your meal with a nixtarita, or go for the horchata if you’re skipping alcohol — you can’t go wrong either way.

  • Such a great spot! Not just because of the quality masa, delicious fillings, and casual atmosphere, but they also carry great agave spirits (I had some Amatiteña blanco during my last visit, and even the price point was... *Drum roll ... On point (Thank you! I'll let myself out).

  • Tortilla soup was so good, I wish they offered a larger size. Flavorful with a lot of pieces of blue corn tortillas, and a great thick consistency. The bean / epazote tetelas was a great side to it. Pictured is the black bean/avocado tlayudita and chilaquiles (both really great, but you do have to add all those extras on the chilaquiles which makes it quite expensive). Came on a Sunday around 2, and had no problem finding seating outside. Overall great food and vibe
